DEVENTER - ELICIT Online has been voted one of the 100 most innovative companies of 2020. The choice was made by an expert panel on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce (KvK). On January 21, 2021, the Chamber of Commerce will announce who can call itself the most innovative. Elicit Online has been nominated for their smart and unique way of extracting valuable knowledge.

ELICIT Online was founded in 2017 by Wouter Schotborgh, Joost Tervelde and Herman Ouwerkerk. Ouwerkerk: "We are proud to be in the KVK Innovation Top 100, next to all those other great innovative companies and hope to further increase the visibility of our solution for the manufacturing and process industry!"

Recording experience knowledge and making it available

Every organization has experts who have accumulated a wealth of experience throughout their careers. However, this knowledge is often not or hardly recorded in practice and is available to colleagues. How do you quickly and structurally safeguard valuable experiential knowledge of experts? And how do you then offer this in an attractive and user-friendly way?

These 2 questions formed the basis for ELICIT Online. Ouwerkerk: "With our software, we enable organizations to quickly and structurally record the valuable experience knowledge of their experts and make it available to all employees." This unique ELICIT method was developed during doctoral research by Wouter Schotborgh at the University of Twente and further developed through application in various industries and business types and within multiple departments of large and small companies.

The result? Training and deploying (new) employees more quickly, reducing unnecessary downtime and increasing quality and output. “By securing and making available the available knowledge, we help our customers to remain successful and competitive in an increasingly globalizing market,” says Ouwerkerk.

Chamber of Commerce Innovation Top 100

Since 2009, the Chamber of Commerce has published the Innovation Top 100 annually. With this, the Chamber of Commerce wants to put SMEs in the spotlight with innovative solutions. This year, a panel of innovation experts made a selection from nearly 400 submissions for a listing in the Innovation Top 100. All nominations were judged on impact for the industry and society, originality, availability and realized turnover and growth potential.

Audience Award

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, a jury chaired by Ruud Koornstra will announce the exact listing of each company in the KVK Innovation Top 100. There is also an audience award. From December 7, everyone can cast their vote through www.kvkinnovatietop100.nl for the most innovative company in the Netherlands.
